Golf activities for juniors
The LaFayette Golf Course and teaching pro Eddie Jackson are once again offering activities for junior golfers this summer.
Summer golf camps, three junior tournament, play days, and the adult-junior tournament are planned.
In addition, individual golf lessons for kids and adults, along with group and family instruction, are available as well from Monday through Saturday.
Junior golf has flourished at the course during Jackson’s eight years on the job. Four area school claim LaFayette as their home course, and Jackson works with the school’s golf coaches to teach the fundamentals of the swing and the short game. Four more schools occasionally use the course and several of these schools have advance to this year’s high school state tournaments, which will be held in May.
For more on these programs, call the course at (706) 639-1580 or call Jackson directly at (423) 260-3965.
