The latest pole banner in the Buy-A-Banner series has been approved by Lafayette City Council. The banner pictured above will be installed on the existing banner hardware in early November, and will be taken down in early January. These banners are funded with hotel/motel tax funds as they promote the annual Christmas parade.

The Buy-A-Banner program began in 2013 with 22 business sponsored pole banners. These banners measuring 30×72 inches are 2 sided and are sold 1 banner per business at $225 per banner. A Freedom Festival banner was added in the summer of 2014 and was displayed from May 31-Aug 2. The concept of the buy-a-banner program is to promote our downtown businesses & events through a rotating banner programs, where the banners are changed out every 2 months to keep things fresh. 1 special event banner set(such as the Christmas banner) will be added annually until the rotating schedule is complete.

15 additional business banners have been ordered bringing our total to 37 business sponsored banners. Thank you for all of your support!
